Lax: Kenwood Girls Win Big on Senior Night

Following a tough four-game losing streak, 's girls lacrosse team has started to pick it up as the regular season winds down.

Casey Whitley scored seven goals as Kenwood (6-7) rolled to a 21-4 victory over visiting Dundalk in the Bluebirds final regular season home game.

Attack Elana Urie had three goals and six assists, attack Claudia Tonti had two goals and an assists while midfielders Cierra Wilson and Erin Forish contributed three and two goals, respectively in the win.

Goalie Amy Genovese finished with four saves for Kenwood, which closes out the regular season at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Carver A&T.

KENWOOD BOYS LACROSSE: Kenwood continued its dominant season on Tuesday as the Bluebirds cruised to a 19-5 win at Dundalk.

Junior attack Nick Eliadis scored eight goals and added an assist to lead the Bluebirds (11-2). Senior midfielder Jesse Greifzu and Nick Oxendine dominated the faceoffs and controlled the game from the opening whistle, coach Anthony Ruocco said. 

Also, senior Kevin Dellasantos contributed a goal and three assists, midfielder Eric Ulrich and attack Jason Alvey had two goals and an assist each while midfielder Nick Oxendine had two goals and attack Noah Wheat had a goal and assist in the win.

Goalie Ben Runk finished with six saves for Kenwood, which closes out the regular season at 5:15 p.m. Thursday when they host Overlea.

EASTERN TECH BOYS LACROSSE:  Bobby Walsh scored three goals and had an assist as the Mavericks lost to Dulaney, 16-6.

Hunter Oleszczuk had a goal and an assist for (5-8), which has lost five straight. The Mavericks close out the regular season 6:30 p.m. Thursday against Franklin at CCBC Essex.
