Point Breeze Credit Union Accepting Applications for 2016 Scholarship Program
Program will award fifteen $1,500 college, technical school scholarships to local students.

HUNT VALLEY, Md. – February 2, 2016 – Point Breeze Credit Union announces its annual scholarship program and has begun accepting application submissions. The area credit union will award fifteen high school seniors each with a $1,500 scholarship. Eligible applicants must be planning to attend a full-time accredited four-year college, two-year college or technical school of their choice in 2016.
“We’re excited to offer our scholarship program for the tenth year in a row,” said Genie Briggs, senior vice president and director of marketing at Point Breeze Credit Union. “Each year, we are amazed with the excellent responses we receive. We look forward to awarding scholarships to fifteen ambitious high school seniors as they pursue higher education.”
Students are asked to submit short essays about their educational, finance and career goals. Applications must be accompanied with two references and students need to be a current owner, joint owner or named on a custodial account in good standing with Point Breeze Credit Union to qualify for entry. Family members of employees, board members or committee members are also eligible to participate in the scholarship program.

How to Apply:
Completed applications must be submitted electronically to scholarship@pointbreezecu.com or hand-delivered to a Point Breeze Credit Union office by April 4, 2016. A Scholarship Committee will anonymously review all applications and applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision in June 2016. Awards are based on content, originality and writing conventions.
