Run for health and wellness to support older adult fitness programming
Baltimore County celebrates 10th anniversary of Get Ready! Get Set! Get Fit! 5K Run Walk at CCBC Essex

An increasing number of older adults suffer from chronic diseases and other maladies that are not related to age, but are, in part, due to lack of exercise and a poor diet.
In the fight to improve the odds, the Baltimore County Department of Aging operates 20 senior centers with fitness centers and other health and wellness programs, which support healthy living as people age.
But the department can’t do it alone. Your support of this year’s Get Ready! Get Set! Get Fit! 5K Run-Walk and 1 Mile Walk For All Ages contributes to the department’s ability to preserve health and wellness programs in our community nonprofit senior centers specifically geared to helping those 60 and over to thrive.
