Softball: Eastern Tech Wins County Title

Freshman infielder Breanna Casper went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Eastern Tech (19-2), which scored four runs each in the fifth an sixth innings in a game that had been tied at 1-1.

On the mound, sophomore pitcher Jordan Cargile allowed one run on four hits and struck out seven to pick up the win. She also helped her own cause by going 3-for-4 with a double and RBI at the plate.

Eastern Tech has now won 13 straight as it prepares for the . The Mavericks are the top seed in the Class 3A North region and will host the winner of Aberdeen and on Monday in a regional quarterfinal game.
