Video of Shoving Match in Pizza Line at Casino Goes Viral

After a quiet start to Horseshoe Casino's first week in business, a squabble between two customers at the Baltimore casino drew onlookers.

Crowds flocked to the opening night of Baltimore’s Horseshoe Casino without incident, but a weekend spat in a pizza line drew swarms of security guards.

A cell phone video of Saturday’s shoving match shows security guards wearing yellow shirts breaking up the fight, which occurred in the line for Pie-Zetta, a pizza restaurant. Among all the shouts from the crowd, one man can be heard repeating: “Only in Baltimore.”

“Basically, somebody said something ... to one person and they took it the wrong way,” said Kevin Forrest, who shot the video and sold it to The Baltimore Sun. He said a woman sprayed mace before about 20 security guards intervened.

The casino said in a statement that two customers had a brief altercation that was defused by security personnel.

The casino’s opening night drew an estimated crowd of 15,000 customers, but no major incidents, officials said.
