Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?


Abu-Ghaida: I have been doing business in this town since 2001, the organization has been around since 1982.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?


Abu-Ghaida: When I was in medical school, I had a highly skilled mentor in Vascular Surgery. This inspired me to enter this field of medicine.


Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?


Abu-Ghaida: Skilled, efficient, safe, compassionate and advanced


Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?


Abu-Ghaida: COVID-19 has changed the way many people conduct their businesses, especially medicine. We have faced new challenges almost daily to make sure that we continue to provide the safest care possible. Being a private practice, we did not have the support of a major healthcare system, so we have to make sure to stay innovative and compliant.


Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?


Abu-Ghaida: The most satisfying part of my job is getting a great outcome for my patients and helping heal people and saving limbs.


Patch: How would you say your business distinguishes itself from the others?


Abu-Ghaida: White Square Vascular Surgery distinguishes itself from others in the sense that we only have one practice location. All of our energy is put into this location, our staff, equipment, supplies and time are all dedicated to our Patients here. This ensures 100 percent patient satisfaction.


Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?


Abu-Ghaida: The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given when it comes to success would be: "Results are everything."


Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited about?


Abu-Ghaida: Some new endeavors that we are working with include our new Ultrasound Suite in our lower level and to expand our services to include Podiatry and wound care.
