A boy brought the lancet to school Thursday morning after taking it from a family member and allegedly poked his peers with it because he "thought it was humorous,” Major Jack Simpson said.
The student was charged as a juvenile with disrupting school operations, 23 counts of second-degree assault and 23 counts of reckless endangerment, according to the sheriff's office, which is not releasing his name because of his juvenile status.
