Fallston Snow: Pics, Snow Totals

The first snowfall of December in Fallston was captured from several angles, thanks to our readers. See what they shared.

FALLSTON, MD -- As the snow began falling, Fallston Patch readers sent their photos in on Facebook. According to the National Weather Service, there were four measurements that came in from trained weather spotters in Harford County.

The highest was in Norrisville, where there were 5.5 inches as of 7 p.m. on Saturday and another report of 4.3 inches in Norrisville as of 7 a.m. on Sunday. In Abingdon, there was a report of 4 inches as of 8 p.m. Saturday; and in Bynum, a total of 4 inches of snow was submitted as of 9:11 p.m Saturday as well.

At the end of the day, Westminster reported the highest accumulation in the Baltimore-Washington area; 6.5 inches of snow were measured there on Saturday, Dec. 9, according to the weather service. There was also a report of 6.5 inches in Ridge from St. Mary's County in southern Maryland Sunday morning.
