Fallston Walmart Makes Strides Toward Going Green
Walmart announced this week the installation of solar panels at ten Walmart locations in Maryland, including Fallston.

Fallston Walmart recently joined 150 Walmart locations throughout the country that are generating up to 20 percent of their store's energy through solar panels.
Walmart and SolarCity announced the completion of the solar panel installation project this week. Eight other Walmarts and two Sam's Clubs around the state also joined the ranks of solar powered stores, according to a release.
The panels are expected to provide between 5 and 20 percent of each store's electricity use.

"Walmart is a leader in clean energy here in Maryland and across the country," SolarCity CEO Lyndon Rive said in the release. "Walmart is setting an example for companies in Maryland to follow; it’s possible for many Maryland businesses to pay less for solar power than they currently pay for electricity."
