Harford County Kicks Off Business Appreciation Week 2014

The Office of Economic Development will make the rounds from Bel Air to Perryman to Aberdeen to Havre de Grace.

The Harford County Office of Economic Development will host Business Appreciation Week from Sept. 10 to 17.

Each day, Harford County officials will tour select businesses and discuss challenges and successes, according to a statement from Harford County.

The preliminary schedule includes the Economic Development Advisory Board meeting at Swan Harbor from 8 to 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday; the Harford Awards at Richlin Ballroom in Edgewood at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday; Northeastern Maryland Technology Council at University Center in Aberdeen from 8 to 8:30 a.m. on Thursday; select business tours in Aberdeen and Belcamp from 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday; business tours in Havre de Grace from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday; tours of Bel Air businesses from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday; business tours in North Harford from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Monday; business tours in Aberdeen from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday; and business tours in Perryman from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Harford County Office of Economic Development reports that it was involved in more than 225 new or expanding business projects between 2008 and 2012, resulting in 7.4 million square feet of leased space, more than $438 million in new investment and more than 5,170 new jobs.
