He graduated from Mount Savage High School in Allegany County, where he lived in Ellerslie, according to the Cumberland Times. A former classmate and current police lieutenant in Cumberland described him as “an extremely good guy.”

A woman who lived next door to him in Fallston said Logsdon was “the best neighbor you could ask for”—he mowed the lawn for the 86-year-old and refused payment, according to The Baltimore Sun, which reported he would also frequently help pick up a neighbor prone to falls.
