Ravens Forced to Call Off Public Practice with 49ers
Baltimore Ravens invite fans to Annapolis for free practice session instead.

The Baltimore Ravens announced over the weekend that a joint practice with the San Francisco 49ers, scheduled for Friday, Aug. 8, was canceled due to league restrictions.
As a result of agreements between the NFL Players Association and the NFL outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement, a team is limited in the number of consecutive practice and football-related activities it can participate in during training camp.
According to a statement from the Ravens, the cancelation of Friday’s joint practice was due to the schedule of the 49ers leading up to the preseason matchup against the Ravens on Thursday, Aug. 7, at M&T Bank Stadium. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on WBAL. It’s the first preseason game for both the Ravens and the 49ers—coached by brothers John and Jim Harbaugh, respectively.
