Sports Tryouts Begin At Fallston High School

Tryouts for fall sports began Wednesday, Aug. 14 at Fallston High School.

Athletes hoping for a chance to play at the high school level hit the field, track, and court at Fallston High School Wednesday.

The Fallston High School Booster Club gave those high school sports hopefuls a word of encouragement on Facebook Wednesday morning.

"'The day' is finally here! Best wishes for all our Cougar student/athletes as they begin the tryout process for Fall 2013," the booster club posted.

The tryout schedule is as follows unless otherwise noted by coaches:

  • Cheerleading 12-2 p.m. meet in the gym
  • Boys cross country 9 a.m. meet behind the school
  • Girls cross country 9 a.m. meet behind the school
  • Field hockey 8:30 a.m. meet in the girls locker room
  • Football 4 p.m. meet in the boys locker room
  • Golf 3 p.m. meet at Mountain Branch Golf Club
  • Boys soccer 3-5 p.m. for 11th and 12th grade and 5-7 p.m. for 9th and 10th grade meet at the track
  • Girls soccer 3 p.m. meet at the track
  • Boys Volleyball 10 a.m.- 12p.m. meet in the gym
  • Girls volleyball 7:15 a.m.- 10 a.m. meet in the gym.
