Baby Critically Injured In Near-Drowning In Bath In Gaithersburg

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A baby was found nearly drowned in a bathtub in a Gaithersburg home Saturday morning, officials said.

The incident occurred at about 10:30 a.m. in a home on Jubal Place, Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said.

The 15-month-old was found in the bathtub and resuscitated by firefighters. The baby is suffering critical and potential life-threatening injuries and was transferred to a local hospital.
