City Offers Free Rabies Clinic

GAITHERSBURG, MD - From the desk of the City of Gaithersburg: The City of Gaithersburg will be participating in a Free Rabies Clinic for cats and dogs on Sunday, June 18, 2017, from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center, 7315 Muncaster Mill Road, Derwood, MD 20855. Clinics will also be held on Sundays, July 16, August 20 and September 17. The Center’s phone number is 240-773-5900. There is no fee for the rabies vaccination; however, a City of Gaithersburg Pet License must be purchased at the clinic, payable by cash or check only.
The clinics are staffed by licensed veterinarians and experienced handlers. For faster service, a separate line will be set up for Gaithersburg residents. Patrons should observe the following rules:
- All pets must be accompanied by an adult.
- All dogs must be kept on a leash.
- All cats must be contained.
Please advise the clinic manager if your dog requires special handling. Microchipping services will also be available. Pet licenses for residents of Montgomery County and the City of Rockville will also be available for purchase. There is a $4 fee for ferrets and out of county residents.
