Find out at the Gaithersburg Children’s Business Fair, showcasing kids’ entrepreneurial genius!

On July 21st from 10am to 12pm, the Gaithersburg Children’s Business Fair will host 23 booths, including 38 young entrepreneurs, at Epworth United Methodist Church (9008 Rosemont Dr, Gaithersburg, MD 20877). This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Kids create a product or service, develop a brand, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at this one-day marketplace. The average age of our participants is 8 years old. They are responsible for the setup, sales, and interacting with customers in the fair.

This event is sponsored by Epworth Preschool & Kindergarten, Acton Academy, the Acton School of Business, and the generous support of our volunteers, who all believe that principled entrepreneurs are heroes and role models for the next generation.

One of the successful stories is Makaila Ulmer of Bee Sweet Lemonade. Makaila participated in the children’s business fair in 2009 when she was 4 years old. Today, Makaila’s Bee Sweet Lemonade is sold in Whole Foods Market as a result of her young business savvy.

Whether an entrepreneur is famous, like Elon Musk or Oprah Winfrey, or one of the thousands of unsung business owners across this country, these entrepreneurs are the people who make sacrifices to innovate, create jobs, and serve their communities.

“Today’s youth are tomorrow’s business innovators and leaders. The Children’s Business Fair gives kids the opportunity to spread their entrepreneurial wings and get a head start on promising business careers,” said Jeff Sandefer, founder of the Acton School of Business.
