Gaithersburg Crime: Two Sex Assaults, 5 Residential Burglaries and More

The following information was provided by the Montgomery County Police Department. Arrests or charges do not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County police released a crime summary for April 8 through April 16. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg:

  • Two sexual assaults occurred in the 900 block of Clopper Road
    • On Sunday, April 7, at 10:08 p.m. the suspect inappropriately touched the victim, then fled.
    • On Saturday, April 13, at 9:30 p.m., the suspect inappropriately touched the victim, then fled
  • An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 400 block of Sternwheeler Court in on Tuesday, April 9, between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. There was an attempted forced entry to the home and nothing was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 10000 block of Ridgeline Drive on Wednesday, April 10, around 8:40 a.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of Crestwood Drive on Thursday, April 11, around 1:40 a.m. Entry to the home was forced and nothing was taken.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at the Harley Davidson Shop, located at 7830 Airpark Rd., on Saturday, April 13, around 2:45 a.m. Entry was forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 9200 block of Broadwater Court on Sunday, April 14, between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the hundred block of Cottonwoood Court on Tuesday, April 16, just after midnight. Entry to the home was forced and nothing was taken.
