Gaithersburg Skate Park Hosts 'Skate Night Under the Lights'

From the City of Gaithersburg: The Gaithersburg Skate Park invites skateboarders, inline skaters and BMX bikers of all skill levels and ages to a special evening skate session, Skate Night Under the Lights, on Saturday, July 1,2017, during SummerFest. The Skate Park will open at noon for regular hours and will stay open until 11 p.m. with a 30 minute skating intermission during the fireworks display. The Skate Park is located behind the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 510 South Frederick Avenue, next to Gaithersburg High School.

The DC Wheels crew will be at the Skate Park at 7 p.m. to host a special skate demo to show off some exciting skateboard tricks. Throughout the evening, participants can enjoy free giveaways and a fun atmosphere. All skaters must have a valid waiver. Admission to the Skate Park is free and rental equipment is available for a nominal fee. Please note that parking is extremely limited and vehicles will not be authorized to drive directly to the Skate Park’s entrance due to heightened security for Summerfest.
