Gaithersburg Weather: Rainy, Muggy Weekend Ahead

GAITHERSBURG, MD — It looks like this weekend in Montgomery County could come with puddles, with a chance of rain Saturday and Sunday.

Friday night will come with mostly cloudy skies with spotty drizzles, according to forecasters.

Expect increasing shower chances Saturday afternoon with warmer temperatures across the 50s. Saturday night will see light showers in the evening and overnight.

The soggy conditions continue Sunday, with an 80 percent chance of rain during the day and highs toward the upper 60s. Sunday night will be cloudy with a low of 49F.

Friday Afternoon: Patchy drizzle and fog. Cloudy, with a high near 49. South wind around 6 mph.

Friday Night: Patchy drizzle with a slight chance of showers before 1am, then patchy drizzle after 4am. Patchy fog before 10pm, then patchy fog after 1am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 46. South wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Patchy drizzle with a chance of showers before 10am, then showers likely, mainly after 1pm. Patchy fog before 1pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 59. Light and variable wind becoming east 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Showers before 10pm, then showers with patchy drizzle between 10pm and 4am, then showers likely after 4am. Patchy fog. Low around 50. East wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Sunday: Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 71. Southeast wind 5 to 13 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Sunday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
