Giving Thanks Through the Arts
Artist Vian Borchert wishes a Happy Thanksgiving day to all her art fans. Currently her work can be seen at Framer's Choice Gallery in MD.

A very Happy Thanksgiving to all! As an artist I am most thankful to the support I get from my art fans and from all of those who believe in my vision. For an artist, this is truly the most essential element one can receive from the community and the society that the artist lives in. A true appreciation of the artist’s vision makes the artist’s feel good about their role in society, and what an important one it is. One should not overlook the elemental role that the artist plays in society. She not only beauties the world through her art, but adds so much more to the current generation and the ones to come. As an artist and art educator, I see how grateful my art students are to me through the art education and the years of knowledge and expertise I bestow them in my art classes. It always makes me feel really appreciated when the students tell me how much they learned and how thankful they are to having me as their art teacher, and how much I contributed to their lives through taking my art classes. Many students tell me I have opened their eyes to a world they haven’t see before, and that they see things differently now in a much more creative way. In return, I thank all my students and my art fans for their wonderful support. Such great support makes me create more and more work to give back to my community. I am also thankful to the gift of art that God gave me. A gift I do not overlook and a gift that I am well aware is given to very few people. As an artist, art educator, art critic and art connoisseur I am very conscious of the mark and huge inspiration and how my art has touched many lives. History shows us through artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Vincent Van Gogh who naturally possessed that God given talent that If you are born an artist then it has to come through even if you suppress it. The art blood is very strong, and true artists are very much aware of that.
Therefore, the gift and vision that I have been born with, I in return share with the rest of the world.
