Horizon Goodwill Industries Launches New Program Project Realize!

Horizon Goodwill Industries believes in the power of work to strengthen individuals and to transform lives when barriers are removed for people to find employment through the help of job training and placement programs. Putting people back to work results in a better community

In 2019, Horizon Goodwill will launch Project Realize which is a mentorship program for youth in the justice system. The state of Maryland announced that they would grant $80,922 from their 2.5 million statewide funding for community and local programs to go towards Project Realize!

Brooke Grossman, Director of Work Force Development for Horizon Goodwill Industries says, "Project Realize! which is a two-generational mentorship, career exploration, and training program that will provide intervention to at-risk youth and their families. This approach will not only empower youth to take an active role in their future, but also provide adults in households with supports to gain the skills necessary to find success in the workforce. We are actively recruiting for one full and one part-time case manager to support Project Realize! as well as volunteer mentors."

Project Realize! is just one of many programs at Horizon Goodwill that is dedicated to strengthening the workforce.
