Jubilation Day Brings Gospel Music to City Hall Concert Pavilion
On June 3, 4 to 8 p.m., the Concert Pavilion at City Hall will host performances of all styles of Gospel and Christian music.

From the City of Gaithersburg: Gospel music, the uniquely American art form that gave rise to jazz, blues, R&B, and rock and roll, will be celebrated in all of its glory as the City of Gaithersburg presents the 11th Annual Jubilation Day Gospel Concert Extravaganza. On Saturday, June 3, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m., the Concert Pavilion at City Hall will host performances of all styles of Gospel and Christian music by local and regional choirs, choruses, quartets, dancers, and soloists.
This year’s featured performer is The Chosen Vessels, a local group from Pleasant Grove Christian Community Church of Damascus, MD. The group, under the leadership of Nathan Cooper, Jr., was inspired by God to praise his name in song. They have been singing together for more than seven years and love winning souls for Christ. Their most requested songs, which they have performed throughout Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC, include “Near the Cross,” “Long as I Got Jesus,”
“I Found Faith in Jesus Christ,” and “God Has Always Stood by My Side.”
