The Governor's Office of Community Initiatives (GOCI) is hosting Maryland's Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration with the Governor's Commissions on Asian Pacific and South American Affairs on Friday, May 7, 2021 virtually via Zoom. As a part of the theme of "Recovery through AAPI Unity," this virtual celebration plans to highlight the efforts of Governor and Mrs. Hogan, GOCI, the APA (Asian Pacific American) and SAA (South American Affairs) commissions, the generosity of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) business and service organizations, and individuals in our community working together through the pandemic.

Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC) is honored to sponsor this celebration event, bringing the awareness and recognition of the effort and contribution the AAPI have made through the dark time during COVID. As one of non-profit organizations who provides diversified service to the community, CCACC hasn’t stopped or reduced its service during pandemic, instead, it emerged into the COVID situation by providing more comprehensive services to benefit the most needed residents.

The motto of CCACC’s service during pandemic is to serve our residents, to strengthen the community, to celebrate our culture and to recover from the darkness. CCACC has highlighted the core value of care, serve and thrive through care for seniors, 2020 Census assistance, PPE donation, VITA service, clinic service, vaccination service, blood drive assistance, education service, culture celebration and response to hate crime etc.
