MLK Day Of Service Moves Online, Expands To A Week In Montgomery

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Montgomery County's MLK Day of Service will now be a virtual, week-long event in January due to COVID-19.

This year's event will run from Jan. 16 to 24 and offer a variety of home-based and socially distant volunteering opportunities to residents of all ages. Activities include creating toys for service dogs, making blankets for hospice patients, and donating books on diversity to students.

All event activities are free, but space is limited for some projects. Registration is required.
