Montgomery Co. Business Briefing Hosted On Jan. 8: How To RSVP

Montgomery Co. residents affected by the pandemic can join Councilmember Sidney Katz's business briefing on Jan. 8. Here's how to RSVP.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Montgomery County Councilmember Sidney Katz will soon be hosting a business briefing on Zoom for community members affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The virtual meeting — set to take place on Friday at 12:30 p.m — will feature Judith Stephenson, small business navigator for Montgomery County, and Daniel Parra, director of business diversity and inclusion for the Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC). The guests will discuss county grants and funding opportunities for small businesses and local organizations.

"The Montgomery County Council is doing everything we can to support local businesses during this incredibly trying time," said Katz. "I look forward to discussing grants and funding for small businesses, as well as county efforts to help ensure that local businesses, businesses owned by people of color, and women-owned businesses are not being left behind."

Residents can submit their questions for Katz and other participants by e-mailing Councilmember.Katz@MontgomeryCountyMD.gov. They'll also have the chance to submit questions in the Zoom chat during the Q&A portion of the briefing.

Those who want to join the Zoom call must register in advance by emailing Councilmember.Katz@MontgomeryCountyMD.gov to participate. Log-in information will be emailed to attendees once they register.
