Montgomery County Business Briefing Hosted On Feb. 5: How To RSVP
Montgomery Co. residents affected by the pandemic can join Councilmember Sidney Katz's business briefing on Feb. 5. Here's how to RSVP.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — Montgomery County Councilmember Sidney Katz will soon be hosting a business briefing on Zoom for community members affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
The virtual meeting — set to take place on Friday at 12:30 p.m — will feature Marla Bilonick, executive director of the Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC), and Ermias Stefanos, owner of Metro Coffee and Convenience in Rockville Café and Grocery. The guests will share their respective experiences working within the county's business community.
"This is a very difficult time for local businesses, and the County Council is dedicated to doing everything we can to support during this incredibly trying time," said Katz. "I look forward to discussing the issues facing our small business owners, as well as recent efforts to help ensure that local businesses, businesses owned by people of color and women-owned businesses are not being left behind."

Residents can submit their questions for Katz and other participants by e-mailing Councilmember.Katz@MontgomeryCountyMD.gov. They'll also have the chance to submit questions in the Zoom chat during the Q&A portion of the briefing.
Those who want to join the Zoom call must register in advance by emailing Councilmember.Katz@MontgomeryCountyMD.gov to participate. Log-in information will be emailed to attendees once they register.
