Nine Oscar-Qualified Films Headline MANHATTAN SHORT Festival
The audience will cast ballots after two days of screenings at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn.
GAITHERSBURG, MD – Chosen from a pool of more than 1,500 submissions from 73 countries, moviegoers at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn will have the opportunity to enjoy nine Oscar-qualified films during the MANHATTAN SHORT film festival in late September.
On Friday, Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m., viewers can take in films from Austria, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Kosovo, New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom for only $12. And when the screening is complete, they'll have a chance to choose a winner.
During the festival, the final nine films will be screened simultaneously during a one-week period in more than 300 cities across six continents.

Votes in Gaithersburg will be tallied by the Kentlands Film Society and sent to MANHATTAN SHORT headquarters to be counted with other votes from around the world. The winners will be announced on Monday, October 8.
