On the Agenda: New Playground, Water Park Renovations

The council scheduled to approve the purchase and installation of a new $150,000 playground at .

The approval of the new playground is part of the Gaithersburg City Council's regular meeting agenda. The council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the council chambers at .

Mayor Sidney Katz will also deliver several proclamations including two designating May as Active Older Adult Month and Historic Preservation Month.

The council will also get an update on the , which include a new "tot" play area, a new spiral slide and expansion of the existing lap lanes.

The opens to the public at noon on May 26.
