Police: Teens Charged as Adults in Gaithersburg Robbery, Assault
Three people were arrested Sunday.

An adult and two teens were arrested after a strong-arm robbery and an assault in Gaithersburg sent one person to the hospital over the weekend.
Gaithersburg police said Dashon Haynes, 19, of Gaithersburg, was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, assault and theft-related charges.
Derrick Antonio Morton, 17, of Gaithersburg, and Lee Steven Jandres, 17, of Gaithersburg, were charged with the same offenses as adults.

Police said the charges stem from a series of incidents that played out Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
At around 9:45 p.m. Saturday police responded to a strong-arm robbery in the 100 block of Gold Kettle Drive. Police said two juveniles were targeted by a group of young people who sparked up a conversation before assaulting and robbing them.

Then at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, police said, at least three people from the robbery  on Gold Kettle Drive assaulted the same two juveniles near West Deer Park and Summit Hall Roads. Police said one person was taken to the hospital.
Haynes, Morton, and Jandres were arrested near Festival Shopping Center shortly afterward, police said. They are each being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center on $750,000 bond, police said.
Mug shots for Morton and Jandres were not provided because they are minors.
