Report: Accuser Testifies Against Gaithersburg Vocal Coach In Sex Abuse Case

A Gaithersburg vocal coach accused of sexually abusing a then-eighth grade boy during the spring and summer of 2008 faced his accuser in court Monday, The Gazette reported.

The boy, now in his mid-teens, "told prosecutors that he and Ballard had known each other for years before the abuse took place," according to the report.

The victim testified that Ballard has performed sex acts on him on two occasions, according to the report.

Ballard's attorney said the accusations were false and stemmed from tension between the two.
