GAITHERSBURG, MD — Construction starts Wednesday on a project to remove, replace, and resurface pavements and sidewalks on Goucher Terrace and Bates Avenue.

Gaithersburg city officials say the project will last about six weeks, weather permitting, and will affect normal traffic patterns.

"No Parking" signs will be posted at least 48 hours before any construction activity, according to officials. These signs will be marked with the dates and times of the parking restrictions.
