Santa's Coming To Town: Where To Find Him In Montgomery County

GAITHERSBURG, MD — The 2019 holiday season is in full swing, which can only mean one thing: Santa Claus is coming to town.

The holly jolly man will be in Montgomery County this month, spreading Christmas cheer and taking present requests.

Patch has the skinny on where to find Santa and has posted his schedule below:

Holly TrolleyFest
Santa is trading in his sleigh for a streetcar for Holly TrolleyFest. See Santa in action every weekend in December (except the 28th and 29th) from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Location: 1313 Bonifant Rd., Colesville.

Jingle Bell Rockout
Enjoy performances by Members of LDE Unplugged with Friends, and appearances by The Grinch, Elvis, and — of course — Santa Claus. Snap a photo with Santa, make arts and crafts, sip on hot cocoa, and more. Jingle Bell Rockout takes place Saturday, Dec. 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. Location: 302 - 404 King Farm Blvd., Rockville.

Jingle Jubilee & Tree Lighting
Santa Claus will make a special appearance at Gaithersburg's Jingle Jubilee on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Festivities include: a tree lighting ceremony (this year marks 93 years!), holiday music, and appearances by Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Elmo, and Cookie Monster. Admission is free. Location: 27 S. Summit Ave., Gaithersburg.

Family Holiday Party
Visit Santa and his elves at the Sandy Spring Museum on Sunday, Dec. 8 from 2 to 5 p.m. There will be live holiday music, lots of cookies, a hot cocoa bar, a kids-only gift shop, and more. Location: 17901 Bentley Rd., Sandy Spring.

A Morning with Santa
Hot cocoa, cookies by the fireplace, and Santa Claus: what more can you want? Bring a camera and snap pictures of your little ones with St. Nick. The event takes place at Casey Community Center on Thursday, Dec. 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Location: 810 S. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg.

Swim with Santa
Who can say they've swam with the big man himself? Now's your chance to do so at the Aquatic Center on Sunday, Dec. 15. From 1 to 2 p.m., take photos and swim with Santa. From 2 to 3 p.m., make crafts with Santa's elves. Swimsuits are required. The event is for children ages 2 to 12. Location: 2 Teacher Way, Gaithersburg.

Selfies with Santa
Join the Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department on Sunday, Dec. 15 for their annual Selfies with Santa event. From noon to 4 p.m., you can visit Santa and his buddies the Friendly Fireman and Marshall from Paw Patrol. Location: 13900 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring.

Photos With Santa
Snap a photo with Santa at Westfield Montgomery and Westfield Wheaton. St. Nick will be at both malls until Tuesday, Dec. 24. Locations: 7101 Democracy Blvd., Bethesda / 11160 Veirs Mill Rd., Wheaton.
