Snow Emergency Declared In Gaithersburg: What To Know
The emergency declaration requires that all vehicles be removed from Snow Emergency routes (marked with signs) by 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — The City of Gaithersburg has declared a snow emergency ahead of a winter storm that's expected to bring sleet, freezing rain, and up to 8 inches of snow to the region.
The emergency declaration requires that all vehicles be removed from Snow Emergency routes (marked with signs) by 10 p.m. on Wednesday. Failure to comply may result in ticketing and towing.

Officials say residents are responsible for clearing all sidewalks abutting their property. If there is a fire hydrant on your property, dig it out and market it with a stake if possible. Click here for more snow preparedness tips.
