Tornado May Have Struck Near Montgomery County
The National Weather Service reports a tornado may have touched down in Northern Virginia.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — A tornado may have touched down in Northern Virginia Tuesday morning near a school, causing some damage, according to reports.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning around Lake Barcroft and Lincolnia in Fairfax County, Va. between 5:54 and 6:15 a.m.
NWS tweeted at 6:39 a.m. that there "was a small, brief circulation in that area that may have downed a few trees if it reached ground. Please pass on any reports if found."

The Washington Post reports that a small tornado may have touched down around Thomas Jefferson High School near the border of Alexandria and Annadale.
An emergency manager submitted a report to the National Weather Service of damage to a shed, fence line, and athletic field at the school, according to the report.
