Virtual Storytelling, Fun Hosted In Gaithersburg In March & April
The virtual 'Tell Me a Story' Series will be hosted by the Arts Barn, Casey Community Center, and the Gaithersburg Community Museum.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — The City of Gaithersburg is encouraging residents to get involved with its virtual "Tell Me a Story" Series.
The series — which is part of the city's Spring Reading Program — will be hosted by the Arts Barn, Casey Community Center, and the Gaithersburg Community Museum.

Description: Join the Arts Barn for a free virtual seasonal story and coloring activity on Zoom. A video conference link and coloring sheet will be sent via e-mail following registration.

- Friday, March 19 – The Wind Blew by Pat Hutchins
- Friday, April 16 – Harry the Dirty Dog by Gene Zion, with pictures by Margaret Bloy Graham
- Friday, May 21 – Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt by Kate Messner, with art by Christopher Silas Neal
Tasty Books Take Home Kits
Pick up kits at the Casey Community Center between 1 and 4 p.m.

Description: Enter the tasty and adventurous world of food, crafts, and books using all five senses from the comfort and safety of your home. Our Tasty Books Kit includes an exciting book, a fun related craft activity, a themed snack recipe, and a cooking accessory. This program is appropriate for ages 3 and older.

Description: StoryTime Station at the Gaithersburg Community Museum goes virtual with authors reading their newly published books aloud. Watch online on the Community Museum's Facebook page here. The free virtual events also feature a suggested craft or activity related to the book's subject. This program is appropriate for ages 4 to 8.
