Weather To Expect For Trick-Or-Treating In Gaithersburg

Halloween night is shaping up to be all treats and no tricks in terms of the weather forecast.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — There's nothing that could spoil trick-or-treat night with the kids than some rain. It looks like that won't be the case this year in Gaithersburg.

The National Weather Service calls for a sunny day and a partly cloudy night on Wednesday, Oct. 31. The day will bring a comfortable high near 67 and nighttime lows in the mid-50s.

The promising Halloween forecast comes after a colder Monday. Temperatures will warm Tuesday into Wednesday.

Luckily rain isn't in the forecast until Halloween festivities have concluded. The National Weather Service says there's a 70 percent chance of rain Thursday night.

  • Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 67. Light south wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
  • Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 55. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph.
  • Thursday: A chance of showers after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 72. South wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Thursday Night: Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
  • Friday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 67. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
  • Friday Night: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
