64 Animals Removed From 'Poor Conditions' In Montgomery Co. Home
Fifty-nine dogs, three cats, and two turtles were seized this week from a Montgomery County home, according to animal services officers.
GERMANTOWN, MD — Authorities have removed 64 animals they say were living in poor conditions at a home in Montgomery County.
On Tuesday, animal services officers investigated the residence, located on Beallsville Road in Dickerson, after receiving a tip about a dog that had been "humanely euthanized because of its poor condition," the Montgomery County Police-Animal Services Division said in a statement.
Authorities found 59 dogs, three cats, and two turtles inside the home. Of the 59 dogs — officials said — one of them had been missing for two years. The dog has since been reunited with its original owner.
