Award-Winning Journalist Talks Money In Virtual MCPL Series

GERMANTOWN, MD — Award-winning journalist Michelle Singletary will join Montgomery County Public Libraries next week to discuss money management.

The virtual discussion is part of the library system's ongoing series called "Contemporary Conversations." It will take place on April 24 at 7 p.m.

Singletary, a personal finance columnist for The Washington Post, will discuss the "Five Steps to Thrive During a Financial Crisis and Beyond," and help teach residents how to understand and manage their personal finances.

"We are honored to bring a journalist of such national appeal to this series," said MCPL Director Anita Vassallo. "Michelle Singletary's knowledge will benefit residents, engaging them in the often-difficult conversation about personal finances, especially during our current economic environment."
