Damascus Collision Now Fatal, Shuts Down Traffic: Officials
A Tuesday morning collision in Damascus is now fatal, according to Montgomery Co. police. A portion of Damascus Road is closed.
GERMANTOWN, MD — A single-vehicle crash that shut down a portion of Damascus Road in Montgomery County is now fatal, authorities announced Tuesday.
Montgomery County police wrote on Twitter that Damascus Road, between Annapolis Rock and Long Corner roads in Damascus, are closed.
Authorities were called to the scene of the crash around 8:16 p.m. They said a driver crashed into a tree and had to be extricated.

The unidentified man died a short time later, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer.
