Germantown Weather: 4 More Chances For Snow Before Monday

GERMANTOWN, MD — Looks like Germantown may get more snow in the coming days.

It all starts with a cold front moving in to our region on Wednesday, forecasters say. Wednesday evening will be partly cloudy, with a low around 23 degrees.

According to The National Weather Service, Thursday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 33 degrees. The chance of snow is 30 percent in the afternoon and 90 percent in the evening. Snow accumulation of one to two inches is possible, forecasters say. In the evening, temperatures will drop to around 30 degrees.

There is a chance of snow before 8 a.m. on Friday. During the day, temperatures are expected to rise. It'll be cloudy, then gradually become mostly sunny, with a high in the mid-40s. Temperatures will drop to around 28 degrees in the evening, according to The National Weather Service.

Arctic high pressure from the north will come through the Mid-Atlantic on Saturday. There is a slight chance of snow between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Rain, snow, and sleek will be likely, thereafter. Daytime temperatures will hover around 38 degrees. According to forecasters, the chance of rain is 60 percent in the day and 100 percent in the night. Nighttime temperatures will be in the low-30s.

The rain will likely stick around on Sunday. Forecasters predict it will rain before 8 a.m. Between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., there will be rain, snow, and freezing rain. Then it will just turn to snow after 3 p.m. The forecast calls for temperatures near 44 degrees. Sunday night will be especially frigid: temperatures will dip to around 10 degrees.
