The Greene Turtle To Host 14th Annual 'Tips For Tots'
On Dec. 11, employees at The Green Turtle will donate their tips to Toys for Tots. Three Montgomery County locations will participate.
GERMANTOWN, MD — The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille will launch its 14th annual "Tips for Tots" initiative on Dec. 11 to support Toys for Tots, the nationwide charity program that offers toys to underprivileged children during the holidays.
All 44 Green Turtle locations will pool 100 percent of the tips they earn on Dec. 11 and buy toys to donate to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's annual toy drive, a spokesman said. The Greene Turtle's corporate office has also pledged to add $500 to each team that raises at least $1,000.
Since its debut in 2006, the program has raised more than $500,000 to help underprivileged children.
