MCPS Vaccination Requirements: Students Need Shots By Deadline

GERMANTOWN, MD — The deadline is fast approaching for MCPS students to hand in their vaccination records. Students in grades 7 through 12 who fail to get all their vaccines by Monday, Sept. 23 will not be allowed back in school.

Children are required to get the Tdap (Tetanus-diphtheria-attenuated pertussis) and meningococcal (MCV4) vaccines.

Montgomery County Health and Human Services will provide free Tdap and MCV4 vaccinations to students at a number of locations across the region. No appointment is necessary. And a parent or designated adult must provide a copy of the child's immunization record at the clinic.

Below is a list of locations and clinic hours:

Germantown Health Center 12900 Middlebrook Rd., Germantown

• Thursdays (Sept. 12 and 19), 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
• Monday, Sept. 23, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, Sept. 24, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Dennis Avenue Health Center 2000 Dennis Ave., Silver Spring

• Tuesdays, (September 17 and 24), 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Thursday, Sept. 19, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Monday, Sept. 23, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, Sept. 25, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

School Health Services Center 4910 Macon Rd., Rockville

• Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Silver Spring Health Center 8630 Fenton St., 10th floor, Silver Spring

• Wednesday, Sept. 18, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, Sept. 24, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
