Missing Germantown Man With Down Syndrome Found Safe

Police are asking the public for assistance in locating a missing 21-year-old Germantown man with Down syndrome.

Joseph Moubarek, of Winding Creek Way, was last seen when he left his home at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police and family are concerned for his physical and emotional welfare, police said.

Moubarek is described by police as a white male, 5'2" and weighs 125 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing brown pants, black shoes and carrying a dark green backpack.

He is familiar with public transportation, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Joseph Moubarek to call the Montgomery County Police Department’s non-emergency number at 301-279-8000. Callers may remain anonymous.
