Search For Coronavirus Cases By ZIP Code: Germantown

GERMANTOWN, MD — The Maryland Department of Health has put together an interactive map to help residents stay up to date on coronavirus cases in their neighborhoods.

The map, which users can access by clicking the "Cases by ZIP Code" tab, identifies the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in each area. The numbers are updated every day around 10 a.m.

As of Tuesday morning, there are 47,687 confirmed cases and 2,217 deaths in Maryland. An additional 116 people may have died from COVID-19, but a laboratory test is still needed to confirm the cause of death, state health officials said.

Based on the latest figures, Montgomery County has 10,291 known cases and 531 fatalities. Thirty-six other people have COVID-19 listed on their death certificate. Again, the state is waiting on a laboratory to confirm it.

Residents in more than 30 Montgomery County ZIP codes have tested positive for the virus, according to officials. Some are in the Germantown area.
