GERMANTOWN, MD — In a Wednesday afternoon update, Montgomery County officials say Charles Luttrell has been located and is safe. Police have canceled a Silver Alert for the 86-year-old Boyds resident.


(Original post) GERMANTOWN, MD — A Silver Alert has been issued for an 86-year-old Boyds resident with Alzheimer's.

Charles Luttrell was last seen leaving his Diller Lane home around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montgomery County police say he drives a 2006 gray Subaru Forester with Maryland tags WMC0595.

Investigators describe Luttrell as a 5-foot-8, 152-pound male with gray hair and hazel eyes. Luttrell, who wears glasses, was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue shorts, according to police.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts, or anyone who sees his vehicle, is asked to call 911.
