Student Vaccine Days This Week: Clinic Hours At Germantown Campus

GERMANTOWN, MD — Students age 12 and older can get their first coronavirus vaccine doses at a clinic hosted at Montgomery College's Germantown campus.

The "Student Days" are running from June 9 to 12 — appointments are available and walk-ins are accepted. Make an appointment for the clinic here, and find a list of other vaccine clinics this week.

The clinic is open on these days this week:

• Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
• Thursday, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
• Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

The college said the first 150 to attend the clinic will leave with a small treat. It asks students to bring their friends, families, and teammates to get their vaccine.

Montgomery County keeps a running list of clinics open each day and what ages can be vaccinated there. More clinics this week for people under 18 include:

• Montgomery Blair High School
• Silver Spring Civic Center
• Sligo 7th Day Adventist Church

Fifty-five percent of Montgomery County residents are fully vaccinated and more than 60 percent have received at least one dose.

MCPS is planning to reopen in-person full time in the falls and all students will be expected to attend in-person, according to a letter from the district in May. Students in the district could choose to return to in-person learning in March this year, after a year of remote learning. The district has encouraged parents to get their children vaccinated.
