Tackling Overcrowded Schools: Seneca Valley To Get Larger School
Seneca Valley High School's newest addition will offer application-based programs. The deadline to apply is Friday, Nov. 1.
GERMANTOWN, MD — School administrators in Maryland's most populous county are hoping to alleviate overcrowding issues by building a larger school in Germantown.
Seneca Valley High School's newest addition is set to open in time for the 2020-2021 academic year, and will offer application-based programs. They are:
- Construction Management and Architecture
- Healthcare Professions
- Hospitality and Tourism Management
- Information Technology and Cybersecurity
- Project Lead the Way
"A new school means more high-demand pathways to give students an early edge in preparing for life after high school, while also maintaining the identity of the Seneca Valley experience through rigorous academics, the arts, extracurricular programs, athletics, and its diverse, inclusive culture," said Montgomery County Public Schools spokeswoman Gboyinde Onijala.
