WANTED: Germantown Robbers Who Fraudulently Use Credit Cards

Police are searching for two men wanted for robbing homes in Germantown and fraudulently using stolen credit cards at stores in the area.

GERMANTOWN, MD — Montgomery County Police are searching for two men wanted for robbing homes in Germantown and fraudulently using credit cards stolen during the robberies.

Police believe the suspects broke into five homes in the Waring Station area between April 16 and April 23.

The following burglaries were reported to police:

  • April 16 – in the 12000 block of Stoney Bottom Road.
  • April 18 – in the 19000 block of Ridgecrest Drive.
  • April 18 – in the 12000 block of Stoney Bottom Road.
  • April 23 – in the 19000 block of Ridgecrest Drive.
  • April 23 – in the 19000 block of Gunnerfield Lane.

The suspects stole credit cards from the home and used them at: the Nike Factory Store in Oxon Hill, the DTLR store in Oxon Hill, a Walmart store in D.C., and a 7-Eleven in Southeast, D.C.

Investigators believe that the suspects may be driving a dark colored 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or has information about these crimes is asked to contact the 5th District Investigative Section at 240-773-6237. To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or enter a tip online. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspects. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
