Teen Charged In Double Shooting That Killed Gaithersburg Woman
Police made an arrest in the double shooting that killed a Gaithersburg woman and injured a child in Frederick.

(Updated at 8:40 a.m. Monday): FREDERICK, MD — Police made an arrest in the double shooting that killed a Gaithersburg woman and injured a child in Frederick early Sunday morning.
Ean Lanell Davis-Lattimore, 17, of Frederick was taken into custody without incident at about 9 p.m. Sunday.
Police identified the victim as Genesis Marie McCarter-Berretto, 18, of Gaithersburg.

Police said they were called to the home in the 1800 block of Weybridge Rd. at around 1:46 a.m.
They found McCarter-Berretto shot in the upper body and a juvenile male shot in the leg, police said.

McCarter-Berretto was pronounced dead on the scene. The boy was transported to an area trauma center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police charged Davis-Lattimore with the following: first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, second-degree attempted murder and two charges of first-degree assault.
This is still an ongoing investigation and no further details cannot be released at this time, police said.
