Coffins, Hearse, Headstones Decorate $225K MD Home Of Raiders Fan

A goth look that includes coffins and mirrors on the ceiling above a bed blends with Raiders NFL gear in this Baltimore area home for sale.

BROOKLYN PARK, MD — From the coffins hanging on the wall to the grim reaper figure leaning out from the wall, this home in the Brooklyn Park neighborhood is an odd marriage between goth and gruesome decor with Raiders memorabilia.

The all black motiff with gray accents spreads throughout this one bedroom, one bathroom home, as photos on Realtor.com show. The Baltimore-area house is listed for sale at $225,000.

The owner pays homage to the Raiders pro football team with helmets on display in the dining room and framed jersey replicas hung throughout the main level.

Broker Matt Godbey spoke with Slate about the unique property being described as "sexy funeral goth." Despite how it looks now, the owner actually downplayed some of the decor.

"Some of the things in there, I told him, will frighten people. There were about 25 mannequins in the basement and some upstairs," Godbey said.

Apparently, the owner loves horror movies. He built the stone 14-foot wet bar with built-in coolers on his own. When asked if the seller is a vampire, Godbey said he didn't think so.

Upstairs in the loft area where the bedroom exists are mirrors on the ceiling above the bed. A railing of a replicated spider web made from wrought iron wraps around the staircase opening upstairs. A creepy chandelier dangles above it. The semi-finished lower level is painted all black with dark gray carpet.

The back yard features a "cemetery" sign with a replica headstone and two crosses in the ground. The yard shed, also painted black, displays a sign that reads "crypt." The detached garage has an eerie mural painted on the side of a graveyard, a full moon and a skull, and the door covering is another wrought iron spider web. Attached to the home is an outdoor wet bar made of granite stone with the bumper and back door of a hearse hanging above it. The license plate reads "expired."
